Inclusion and Diversity Commitment
Our Talent Acquisition and People teams collaborate with executive leadership to realize our commitment to inclusion and diversity by implementing equitable hiring practices that limit bias, and by fostering a talent pipeline that reflects diversity and inclusivity. We provide company-wide training, track and report progress regularly, and set goals for continuous improvement. Komodo’s Affinity Groups allow Dragons to build communities and connect with others who share aspects of their identity or a common purpose. They create opportunities to gather, share, learn, support, and develop solutions together to advance their group’s agenda and goals. Affinity Groups are founded and managed by employee volunteers.
Komodo Cares was founded in 2015 with a mission to use philanthropic investments, employee engagement and technology to help like-minded organizations and give back to our communities. Volunteers engage in ongoing philanthropic events and fundraising initiatives to support non-profit organizations that are addressing issues such as racial inequality, hunger, mental health, LGBTQ rights and more.
Dragon Pride is an LGBTQIA+ group for people of all orientations and gender identities who want to be part of a community working to promote diversity and inclusivity. Dragon Pride is a safe space for people to share their stories among a welcoming group of colleagues. We aim to highlight and improve the LGBTQIA+ experience, by providing peer support to our LGBTQIA+ colleagues, through conversations, and volunteer opportunities.
Varanidae is Komodo’s womxn’s initiative, focused on encouraging and supporting women within the organization. Varanidae intends to inspire, educate, and develop transferable skills that will help Dragons create positive change both in and out of the organization through a mentorship program, inspirational speaker series, continuing education workshops, and more.
Dragonborn’s mission is to build a community of understanding and empathetic colleagues for people faced with health or disability challenges. We gather Dragons to share experiences, resources and coping strategies, and educate others about a health condition or disability through interactive discussion and volunteer activities.
Pan-Asian Heritage Dragons (PAHD) is for Dragons who identify as Pan-Asian and their allies. PAHD promotes a greater sense of belonging at Komodo by introducing professional development and community outreach opportunities for members, furthering the company’s mission to reduce the global burden of disease.
VETS’ focus is to recognize the veterans, friends, and families of veterans who have a shared desire to give back to this community. One of VETS’ primary goals is to increase representation for those who are part of the active-duty, reservist, or veteran corps, and the families of those who serve within Komodo Health through recruiting efforts, education, and collaboration with veteran-focused organizations.
Black Dragons’ mission is to cultivate a safe space for Dragons of color to be themselves, form genuine connections, and learn from colleagues. We bring forward the unique experiences of Black professionals, and support each other as we navigate both challenges and opportunities. We aim to increase the representation of Black employees at Komodo by taking a proactive approach to recruitment, building relationships with community organizations, and educating our fellow Dragons through service activities, webinars, and events.
